How to add current item link in "Email activity"?

If you want to add current item link in "Email activity", please follow the steps below;

1. Navigate to the "Activities" feature in KWIZ Apps list settings.

2. Create a new Email activity by clicking the "+" (Plus) sign for a "new activity".

3. In the "Activity Type" field, select "Email" from the dropdown menu. In the "Name" field, provide a name for the activity. You can optionally add a description.

4. Fill in all the fields in the "Properties" tab. Note that "Subject" and "Body" are mandatory.

  • If you wish to add an item from SharePoint list, in the "Body" section, create a hyperlink using the list URL  with the list ID, and add =[ID]

  • If you don't know the list item URL, you can check it by choosing the current item from the list and clicking "edit". Then click on "Copy link" option.

  • If you wish to generate a link leading to the location of a new document in  SharePoint library, in the "Body" section, create a hyperlink using the document library item ID URL, and then replace "item ID" with =[ID]

  • If you don't know the document library item ID URL, you can check it by choosing any file within your document library, select "More" from the dropdown menu, and choose "Properties". Then click on "Copy link" option.


5. Navigate to the "Custom Actions" feature in KWIZ Apps list settings

6. Create a new custom action by clicking the "+" (Plus) sign for a "new activity".

7. In the "Activity Type" field, choose "Automatic Action, User action or Scheduled Action" from the dropdown menu. Provide a name for the activity in the "Name" field. Specify when you want the action to take place by checking from the available options. The Description field is optional.

8. In the "Activities" tab click on the "+" (Plus) sign for a "add activity" and choose "Email" and click on "Save" button.
